A gameplay deep dive last year showed how Rainbow Six Extraction will play out when it lands on consoles, PC, and Xbox Game Pass in a few weeks. Series veterans will no doubt find some of the playable characters familiar, but alien enemies will shake things up with different types and abilities. The game launches for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S later this month, and players will team up with one-to-two friends to exterminate and survive an infectious alien race that threatens Earth. Ubisoft+ subscription service coming to Xbox. The spinoff was originally revealed with the name Rainbow Six Quarantine before Ubisoft eventually renamed the project last June. Rainbow Six Extraction launches day-one on Xbox and PC Game Pass. Game Pass or not, Rainbow Six Extraction has been a long time coming. There’s currently no word on whether the publisher plans to bring Ubisoft+ to other platforms beyond Xbox. It features access to more than 100 Ubisoft games, including major titles from the Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry franchises. Ubisoft+ has only been available on PC and cloud until now. Ubisoft is pricing Rainbow Six Extraction at a budget price. And on top of all of this, Ubisoft has announced plans to bring its own gaming subscription service, Ubisoft+, to Xbox consoles in the future. The Rainbow Six PvE spinoff is coming to Game Pass on January 20, the same day it releases on Xbox Series XS, PS5/PS4, Stadia, and PC. As an added bonus, Rainbow Six Siege, which is already available to play through Game Pass on console, will be available for PC subscribers on January 20. ![]() Announced via an Xbox Wire post, the reveal marks yet another major addition to Microsoft’s game subscription service but also represents Ubisoft’s growing interest in it.
